Sunday at Vegas Murray won Best of Variety for a 5 pt Major. He has fulfilled his majors requirements (with 4 majors) and his defeating champions at 3 shows (he has done so at 4). So he lacks just 6 singles to get his Grand Championship. Chuckie's owner, Karen Terry, called me and asked if I'd post that he received his invitation to Westminister Kennel Club in February. She worked so very hard to get him qualified for this prestigious invitation. It is not easy for an owner handler to come up with the time and money involved to campaign a dog hard enough to get ranked in the Top 5 of their breed. It is a very costly endeavor.

Wednesday I had to go to a gynecologic oncologist due to the pathology from my hysterectomy coming back with two different cancerous small tumors. The one on the ovary was a really rare kind that my doctor had never seen but just read about. Razzle's first time out as a Special today was given the Select Bitch Award so she now had a major towards her Grand Championship. I had never really planned on campaigning one for a Grand Ch. Title but since she is already entered and back on the East Coast with Cathleen we figured we might as well go for it. Our little Miss Lucy (Lamars The Closer) won WB, BW, BOS today for a 5 point major. Way to go Lucy. She now has her majors and 10 points. We show in Omaha again tomorrow. I think I neglected to mention in posting the wins in Alaska that Goldy (a Sugar/Frankie l/c girl) won WB both days last weekend for another couple singles. She has 8 points now with a 5 point major.
